Thematic Areas

For years, we’ve stood at the forefront of nurturing the next generation of human rights defenders and lawyers,
bridging communities in Africa to justice and shaping a future where equality is the rule, not the exception.

Access to Justice

We work to bridge the gap between communities and the legal systems meant to protect them. By addressing structural barriers and championing inclusive legal practices, we ensure that underserved groups can claim their rights and access justice without fear or exclusion.

Practices and Procedures

We aim to improve how justice is delivered by strengthening legal processes and systems. Our work includes advocating for procedural reforms, promoting better use of legal mechanisms, and equipping legal actors with tools to pursue effective, rights-based litigation.

Violence Against Women

We support legal responses that confront the widespread and deeply rooted violence faced by women and girls. From intimate partner violence to harmful cultural practices, we promote survivor-centered strategies that seek accountability, justice, and systemic transformation.

Capacity Building

We are committed to nurturing the next generation of lawyers and justice advocates. Through intensive training, mentorship, and network-based collaboration, we build the skills and confidence of legal practitioners to engage in transformative human rights work.

Strategic Litigation for Social Change

We use strategic litigation as a tool to challenge unjust laws, policies, and practices. By partnering with lawyers, activists, and movements, we build legal cases that not only address individual harm but also shift the legal landscape and spark broader societal change.

Intersectionality and Human Rights

We advance a rights-based approach that recognizes how overlapping identities shape experiences of discrimination and injustice. Our work focuses on amplifying the voices and rights of those who face multiple layers of marginalization within legal and social systems.
